In the grim darkness of the present time there's only war... And flags in bios along with pronouns; but the dead don't care about this stupid shit. I thus dedicate to everybody Sword of Glory by Motörhead: Where are we to go from here in time, Do you see the future, do you know, What can you expect from years to come, And what can you do now to make it so, All of history is there for you, All the deeds done in the world are mad If you don't know what has gone before, You'll just make the same mistake again and again and again. Soldier, soldier, see where we were, You have to know the story, Older, colder, life isn't fair, Got to grab the sword of glory, If you can't see what bloody fools we were, Then you were also born a bloody fool, Listen to the hundred million dead, They didn't know it, but they died for you, All you know is that you're young and tough, Don't you think those millions thought the same, If you don't know where it all went wrong, You'll just make the same

These days when I'm not busy painting commissioned miniatures, I'm tidying up my house and I'm finding lots of stuff that I either forgot I had or that I forgot where I put. For instance I found a WW2 Italian helmet, some WW2 medals, a baffling 1944 Warschau nazi shield (none of my grandparents fought in the German forces, so... 🤔) the Warhammer Fortress and Helms Deep. Here's my 5 Years Veteran GW pewter mug that I found in a box under other boxes. My 10 Years Veteran leather jacket is still hanging in my closet.

You're a very talented painter, sir. I know from personal experience how difficult it is to paint models, and have them not look like a dumpster fire, so you have my respect. Personally, I think you're White Dwarf material, so it's great that you saw some time at Games Workshop.

As for your aim to paint more quickly, I wouldn't worry about it too much; true art takes time. :)

Thank you, you're very kind and generous. Unfortunately working in GW kinda did kill my passion for painting and strangely enough curbed severely my learning process.

And thank you for the compliments! Sorry to hear that your GW experience wasn't a positive one; if it's any consolation, it clearly hasn't affected your painting skills. Plus, it's a pretty awesome addition to your resumé, even if it didn't turn out so well; I know that if I was in the business of having models painted, that would be a very influential factor.

I guess it's like having the same dinner each day: after a while you stop caring, even if it was your favourite food. I mean, on some level it was still exciting after several years, but once I put my feet out of the office I needed to pull the plug from anything GW related and that impacted heavily on my painting.

Muchas gracias por la llama:woohoo:

Thank you for the llama! :)
Don't mention it. It's my way of showing appreciation for your miniatures.
